Newbie here. I selected a blog template. The blog's first page was automatically set to 'home' as the landing page (but has a pen icon in Pages). I added blocks to the layout to flesh the design out and stripped the blog block on the homepage of content and then attempted to remove the blog block on the page  (I have two other sections for events and writing on other pages so no longer need it on the homepage) but it wouldn't allow me to remove blog block. I thought I could duplicate the page and change the home destination but it wouldn't let me. My question is: Is it possible to remove the blog block from a homepage? Or is it possible to change the page type (from pen icon to page icon in Pages).  Lastly - OR is it possible for me to just keep all as is and keep the empty collapsed blog block on my homepage esp since I already designed the page, and it not cause issues.  I plan to walk client through purchasing template today subscription and want to be sure all will be fine.   I can't select new template.  Site is almost done. THANKS and appreciate anyone's help/advice!

Hi there! Sadly you cannot change a page type. What you'll want to do is create a new homepage, using a blank basic page type. Then in the page you have already designed, save each section to your favourites, click the heart symbol in the pop-up section settings:

Then go to your new homepage, and add sections, picking from your favourites.

Then in the page settings, set your new page as the homepage, finally delete the blog homepage.

Hope that all makes sense!
