ElissaR
We used a third party to transfer our content to the updated version of Squarespace. We desperately needed a refresh. The process was long and arduous but we're happy with the new site. I've been asked to ensure our older blogs are transferred to the new site. Prior to officially making the switch, I was told or under the impression we would have access to these after switching. I can only see some of the blogs and have read that they won't be available now that the site is expired (even if we reactivate to access them). Does anyone have expertise in this area before I reactivate the old site? Thanks! Elissa Link to comment

Hi Elissa I'm not sure that I fully understand your question 🤔. If someone was transferring your content from Squarespace 7.0, I'd expect them to move the blogs as part of that transfer. Are you saying that the blog page (or pages) remain on the expired Squarespace 7.0 website? If yes, when did the site expire? If not, can you explain a little more? About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. ElissaR
Thank you for your reply. Yes, blogs were transferred but older content was not (1.5 years+ older blogs). Since posting this I've wondered if people would even care but it would be nice to have the content for our records. We transferred to 7.0 in September so it seems like we are beyond the point of retrieving old blog content. Link to comment

If the blog posts contained ephemeral information that dated quickly, the value of the content may not justify the effort required. However, if the blog posts contained information that did not date quickly, it may be worth migrating it. If the site expired in four months ago then the content is unlikely to be retrievable but you could contact Customer Care to ask if it can be recovered. Did this help?
