How can I change Templates?

I've searched and it says click on Design > Template... when I go there I don't have that option

Template switching is only available on v7.0 sites. What version of SS are you using? I suspect v7.1.

What an absolute joke Squarespace has become. The upgrade to 7.1 eliminates our ability to access/preview templates?!? Half the help links on the site direct to 404 errors? Trying to contact support is an exercise in futility. Pathetic. Actively looking for new hosting.

I guess Im also using the new version because I dont have that 'template' option.
I found an option to change 'Page Layout' in the main navigation but there is nothing that fulfills my requirments. I need to change the actual template... IF SOMEONE IN CHARGE IS READING THIS please resond because its very frustraiting.

If you are on v7.1 you can't. What SS calls templates on v7.1 are really color choices and a few bits and bobs.

Any v7.1 site can be made to look like any other by changing the color options, manually.

SS designed v7.1 to get rid of the template confusion and maintenance overhead of v7.0. v7.0 started heading that direction when the Brine template family way released. v7.1 is a continuation of that evolution as far as overall layout goes.
