Browser Back Button

Hey there! The link above is a page I have to show some work I've been doing. When you click on an image it opens up the carousel to preview through the work. My only gripe is that if you click the back button on your browser, instead of going back to a previous image, or back to the landing page where all the images are shown, you're instead thrown all the way back to the websites homepage. Does anyone a way to fix this issue?

Please let me know if you need any more information and any help is appreciated 😄

Also just realized that clicking the link directly, instead of getting to this page via the homepage, the back button won't even work at all even if you click on images.
