Styling the search result page

I have a Search block to search a specific page which it does but I want to style the search result page so the user can still go back or find other parts of the section they are in. Can I have the search results appear inside another page to make this happen?

Or, using this screenshot, could the search results show below the blue header? (even if I have to 'hack' the search results to appear as if it's in this same view)

• Search Result Background Header (2)
• Filter by... (click on each link >> you want to filter results on current page? Not possible, if opening in new page, we can do) (3)

However (3) will require a lot of code
