New SquareSpace template with Domain transfer does not work

Hello,

I spoke with two support representative and they both said I would be able to transfer a domain from one old SquareSpace site to the new SquareSpace site after we created a new account. I can't and super frustrated how much time and how much time we have spent dealing with this issue.

We typically do not recommend SquareSpace because of this.

@WMDAgency @martinmlekicki You can transfer a domain from one Squarespace site to another. if you are having difficulties, please provide some more details:

What is the domain?

Who hosts the domain?

What steps have you followed?

What issues have you experienced?

What errors do you see?

Like @paul2009 said, you can move domains between sites on the same account but I don't believe you can move them between actual accounts in a straight forward way.

One thing you can try is to assign the domain to a site in the original account and then invite the new account to that site and transfer ownership. The domain should then be in the correct account.
