Sales option not appearing when applying multiple variants to a product. Any idea why not?

I'd like to explore the option of offering a sale to a product with multiple variants but it seems as though this option has disappeared now. When the product didn't consist of any variants the "sale" option was visible. Can anyone help please?

My guess is that as now the automatic discount are part of the more advanced commerce plan they removed this feature. Really annoying from squarespace...
