Richn
Hey folks, I've been using the Avenue template for years. On my main page its always had a thing of when you hover the mouse over one of the pages, the image zooms slightly and the project/page tile pops up. I've just noticed this has stopped happening now. Is this a change, or something broken? Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks www.richnosworthy.tv Edited December 13, 2022 by Richn typo Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
If you are talking about the main configuration page, there is no pop up when hovering over page titles. If you are referring to an index page, hovering over a thumbnail does not pop up or zoom in either. Custom CSS can make it do that. I have some code on one of my pages which causes the thumbnail images to zoom in, but it was never a default option for Avenue, which I have also used for years. https://myrandomviews.com/blog/lessons Edited December 15, 2022 by derricksrandomviews Link to comment

kerrym
Is it possible to have images on the site (not Summary Blocks or Product Pages) where I can use the "click to Zoom" feature? I'm building a new fine art site and desperately want that feature! Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
If you mean click to enlarge, yes, you can use a gallery block set for grid or wall and enable lightbox. You can also adjust the padding between images, image aspect ratio, thumbnails per row, and turn cropping on or off. Here is a test page you can take a look at to see it for yourself in action. You can click on any thumbnail to open the lightbox (choose light or dark background) and then you can see a slide by clicking the open image. You can also add a title/description to each image. https://myrandomviews.com/lipizanners Edited December 19, 2022 by derricksrandomviews Link to comment
kerrym
Thank you for the reply! However, I'm already aware of that functionality as I've designed several sites (visit my site www.thesearanchcollection.com. I'm making a new site that is NOT commerce so there will be no Product Pages. What I want is the same feature provided on product pages. I don't want a lightbox pop-up but rather the ability for someone to simply rollover the existing image and see parts of it enlarged - as in "zooming" - not just making a larger version in a larger window after clicking on the existing image. Here's the ZOOM I'm referring to explained on the "Styling Store Pages" instructions. Image zoom, quick view, and hover effects VERSION 7.1 VERSION 7.0 An alternate product image always displays on hover on store pages when a product has more than one image. Product details always display below the product image. You can enable quick view in the page or block settings. The quick view lightbox background color follows the store section's color. Image zoom isn't available on store pages. However, you can enable lightboxes and image zoom on click and hover on the product details page. Enable these effects in the Product items panel: Lightbox - Opens the image in a lightbox window on click. Zoom - Magnifies image details on click or hover. Link to comment
