Adjusting height / opacity of gradient behind header?

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am trying to figure out how I can adjust the opacity of the gradient behind the header.

I would like for it to be more opaque near the top -- so that the menu items and logo have more contrast.

So far I have used this to remove some of the top padding (moving logo further up towards more opaque part of gradient) and adding bottom padding -- which helps add more height to the gradient effect, drawing the higher opacity further down the page...

If someone might be able to share more specific opacity controls creating the gradient effect that I could adjust/play with that would be amazing -- thank you!

This is what I've plugged in so far...

/*transparent gradient*/
/* Header height */
.header-announcement-bar-wrapper {
    padding-top: 1px !important;
    padding-bottom: 100px !important;
}

Do you have any sample for your description so we can give the right code?

Do you mean a screenshot? I am attaching -- I would like to be able to adjust the gradient in the header (right now it is too transparent at the top) -- to provide more contrast...

Thanks!
