Cropping Issues in Gallery

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm having trouble with square space automatically cropping the photos I input into gallery sections. It is really inhibiting the presentation of the artwork I am trying to display. Using the simple image blocks is an option, but then formatting an entire page of image blocks so that they are aligned properly is also a challenge.

Is it at all possible to program galleries to not crop images at all?

Thanks so much!

Yes, this is possible, the easiest way is to select a gallery type that doesn't crop the images, the alternative is to use some CSS to shrink the image to fit within the gallery grid area, if you can provide your website URL I should be able to give you the code.

Hi Ziggy,

I think I have a similar issue: The store page gallery is on the home page and the images are using "fill" instead of "fit".

Can you help?

Side note: I was able to use CSS that I found on the forum to fix the cropping for the store detail pages, but the CSS solutions that I've tried for the main store gallery don't work.

Thanks!
