Display images on clickthrough to have bleed

How do you add a bleed around an image that is displayed via a static file link from an image gallery page? When I clickthrough, particularly worse on the mobile, the images are full bleed to the screen and don't look good.

Ah I see - thanks Ziggy, much appreciated. I didn't know about the Lightbox feature - that works much better now I have removed the links 

Yes, it's a shame that the slideshow galleries don't have the lightbox feature, it's because of the interactive nature of a slideshow, but would still be nice even if it create a slightly confused user experience.
