Embedded widget seems to be compressing content and creating extra space at the bottom of a content area

Hi there, 

We use a widget from our ticketing platform to display upcoming events on our site, which works well except that it seems to set the overall height of the content area to be too large for the amount of content in the section. Additionally—in spite of the extra space—it seems to be compressing the content (text and a button) at the bottom of the section. 

The issue appear on both mobile and desktop.

I imagine there's a bit of custom CSS that will override the widget setting but I can't figure it out.
