Help! Slideshows do not work after I hit the back button on the browser!

Help!

Squarespace says this is a known problem, and won't commit to fixing it! I'm a little mad, as this should be common functionality.

On my home page I have a slideshow and an animated gif as a section background. If I navigate to another page, and then use the back button on my browser, the slideshow will not work, and the animated gif does not load.

I even created a fresh new page thinking it might be something in the code or SS version. The problem persists with the slideshow.

Does anyone have a solution? Squarespace does not.

I wasn't able to reproduce your issue on macOS/Chrome. What browser are you using?

Worked for me just fine.

Many thanks all....for some reason last week it was happening, and Squarespace tech support saw and recognized the issue as well.

Perhaps they somehow resolved it?

They said it was a global bug impacting all users.
