Problem with product photos in shop

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am currently in the process of setting up a shop for dog leads.  I have spent ages taking photos of all the leads as they come in different colours.  The colour is one of the variants for each lead and when I set up the products I have uploaded a photo for each different colour.  What I want to happen is when someone clicks the color dropdown menu and selects blue, a photo of the blue lead shows.  If they select red then a red lead shows etc.  At the moment its just whatever colour is at the top of the list that shows regardless of what is selected on the dropdown menu.

Does anyone know what I've done wrong here?

Thanks

You can assign individual images to each variant on the Edit Variants panel within the Product Composer. There's a button to the far left of each variant.

It would be great if we could tie the dropdown preview images to a specific variant option instead of having to do each individual combination individually. For example, I offer a product with 10 colors, 7 sizes and another variant with 2 options. I would love to be able to just select "color" and add the 10 colors as the preview across all combinations. Instead there are 140 individual combinations that I have to do one by one if I want customers to be able to get a quick preview of what they're ordering.
