User specific content

Hello,

i'm new to web development, but have good programming skills, so please get technical.

My user member area should contain user-specific information, e.g. a contract that he signed and uploaded to that area. Is something like that possible with a squarespace website?

I obviously need to know when a new user registers in order to store him in the database and i need to access the user details upon his login to load the user-specific content. I guess I won't create a "user page" for each new user, but load the user specific content dynamically via a JS script?

What would it roughly look like to store, access and load user details and content? Is it possible at all? Or are member areas meant to be the same for each user?
