JuhaJukarainen Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Hi, I just wonder are Squarespace accorcion blocks SEO friendly? I mean if I put some content to accordion block is Google, and people and who are searching, going to find the content? I am using accordion block on my site here: https://www.emisbeauty.fi/kestopigmentointi That content needs to be search engine optimized, so I was thinking if I use accordion or not. Any thoughts? Use or not to use?

Google usually treats collapsible content (such as that in Accordion Blocks) as normal content, even if it is hidden on the initial view. (Of course, this assumes the accordion content is genuine and not "stuffed" with keywords.) Did this help? SEOSpace_Henry Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 As Paul said above, accordions are fine as long as you don't stuff them with keywords. Accordions are a great way to increase word count on pages where you don't want a wall of text. Google doesn't like thin content pages (words with 300 words or less), so accordions can help you go beyond this count. If you want to increase the likelihood of people finding your accordion content on search engines AND the content in the accordion are FAQs, I recommend adding an FAQ Schema. paul2009, visualcreative and JuhaJukarainen 2 1 Henry Purchase Founder of SEOSpace - the SEO plugin for Squarespace. Collaborada Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 (edited) Hi there. Thin content refers to low-quality low-value pages, it is not word count: https://www.collaborada.com/blog/seo-word-count Edited April 17 by Collaborada clarity Building high-performance websites with expert SEO for local and national reach. If I were creating a blog post with an ACCORDION block, would I add the FAQ Schema in a MARKDOWN block anywhere on the page (since it won't be visible or do I add the FAQ Schema somewhere else, or in a different block type?
giovana Posted September 6 Posted September 6 If I have created the relevant content with code, does Google also consider it for SEO? My content is on a separate portfolio page, and I embedded it into the additional info section with code.
