Expanding accordion slides everything away

I have created an About page with accordions underneath each team member's picture. When I click to expand the accordion and read the text, all the rest of accordions slide down the page (see attached images). This is very disorientating, is there a way to stop this from happening?

Accordion blocks do, by their nature, expand and contract, and that will move the content below it down unless there is space for it to expand into. Are you using the Fluid Engine editor or the Classic Editor?

I am using the Fluid Engine. I understand they push things down, but its not necessary to push the content next to it. Is there a way to change this?

The accordion stretches the grid rows if the block bounding box isn't big enough to contain the accordion with an open title. The solution is to make the accordion block taller so that when you expand an item it stays contained, this can leave some blank space, so use it as sparingly as you can, how you do this will depend on your design.

Thank you Ziggy for your suggestion. By making the accordion taller, do you mean stretching out the accordion box itself? This isn't ideal because it leaves a big space between team member rows...does it help if all the team member text was the same length?

Have you got the accordions set to align to the top?
