"Unable to retrieve video. Replace link or try again." - unable to add youtube video

Hi,

I have been trying to add video content to a viedo block on a Brine 7.0 site.

I am getting the following error message:

Unable to retrieve video. Replace link or try again.

The link is:  

The link has been created via "create shareable link" function on youtube.

At a loss as to what to do next.  The page in question is hidden at the mo as the page is not live.

It's really annoying.

Please help as we are stuck!

Try using the regular YouTube link, not the short-link:

The strange thing is, that last week I was able to embed a short without any problems. Now I cannot even embed the one, that was working last week. When I try to edit the last week's page, it would not work and I would receive the same error message. 

I want to embed the following YouTube Short on my page:

When doing so, I receive the very same error massage as Bookworm does:

Squarespace support said you must right click on the short to get the embed code. Then use the embed instead of the share link. It worked for all of my shorts.

I struggled with this until I realized that the video has to have "Allow Embedding" enabled on the YouTube Content Creator side to allow it to work. Once I changed the properties of the video over I was in business!

Its not working. I enabled the embedding, tried to copy the youtube shorts link, the embedded link, everything, and it does not work.
It's the 21th century and squarespace manages to have problems with uploading a 10 second video. Please help?

one thing that worked for me was making sure the video is set as "unlisted" and not "private". When it was set as "private" it would not upload.
