Why are you trying to disable the mobile styles? Typically a desktop design doesn't work well on mobile, can you share your website URL? There are a few older templates that you can disable mobile styles, what you you using?

Hi Ziggy,

Thanks for your response.

I am trying to avoid the process of having to redesign my company's website. When I switch over to mobile style all the buttons, videos, and copy goes out of whack.

I am currently on version 7.1, and have already confirmed that there isn't a way to switch to an older template.

As far as I know my best bet may be code.

Is there a way that I could privately message you the link to the website ?

Hi @lovelydard designing the way you have utilizing text embedded in images has problems on desktop before you even get to tablet or mobile screens. Screenshot of a slightly wide but common desktop view:

There is not a switch to turn off mobile view, so my best suggestion is to design a website that is going to be readable to most of the people viewing it, i.e. by using text and a basic mobile style. But if that's not what you want, then your best bet might be just to design the entire page (minus the header and footer) as a single image and just have that as an image block stretched edge-to-edge.

Honestly it sounds like the approach you are taking given the way Squarespace is set up is causing a lot of the problem you are having. If you want to work on Squarespace it may be easier to try and use the tools they have in a conventional way and you probably won't have as many issues. Design a website for mobile as well since most websites get more mobile traffic than desktop, and work to have it look good on both. You might have more luck with a solution like Wordpress if you want to keep the desktop view on all screens and uses big images with embedded text.

Please feel free to disregard my thoughts here, they're just my opinion.
