Image Effects have disappeared

Where has "image effects" gone for background images? The lack of parallax options in Squarespace 7.1 is baffling and now to lose "image effects" isn't helpful.

Image effects should be in the section settings under background, and include parallax...

If you're not seeing them I recommend that you speak to Squarespace Support, as that sounds like a bug or technical issue.

 I’ve sent a bug report to Squarespace and they replied: “i can confirm that this is an issue on our end, where we're receiving reports from some users that they are unable to access that specific panel and some background images are not loading. I have shared your report with our engineering team and they’re currently prioritizing the issue.” 

Could Squarespace advise as to the progress of this issue?

Yes, you can contact them and ask if the problem is still a know problem and not yet fixed, but this forum isn't the place to get that answer.
