Making a subpage to connect to a button

I am working on the Idrah template, but I have the same problem irrespective of which template I use.  I can create a button, or use an existing one, that reads:  Read More.  My question is, how do I create a subpage that is accessible by clicking that button?  I am utterly stuck, have watched many videos, and do greatly appreciate any help.  Kind regards to all.  SW

You create new pages in the Pages menu, you can then add a link to the page in the button settings by typing the URL slug i.e. /new-page
