Java not responding

I have this piece of code for multiple page form, css and html codes work, however, Im not sure why I can't get my javascript tp work. 

Try putting the script in the same code block at the top, with <script></script> tags around it and leave the code block in HTML mode.

I did it, but my buttons still don't work, im using the code from here : https://levelup.gitconnected.com/create-a-multi-step-form-using-html-css-and-javascript-30aca5c062fc

Thanks! Interesting that it's not triggering, I can't see a good reason myself. Is there any other script on the page/website that might be interfering?

I don't think so, I had some other scripts, not sure if they were interfering but I removed them to check and problem is still there
