Firstly, I love your paintings! Expressionistic, dynamic, so much energy, and a hint of Lowry-esque buildings, fantastic!

You website is good, I would have more on your landing page though, a gallery slideshow with big images would be great, though I do like the big detail picture. 

I'm not a fan of the way that the images get cropped in the store pages, but there are way to stop that.

The gallery main page could use space a little better.

No major problems with the website, and your paintings stand up for themselves anyway!

First thing to do would be to increase the width of the gallery on the product pages, currently set to 44%, I think it could easily be 60% and then set the image aspect ratio to 1:1. That will help a lot. I would also set the image to open in a lightbox on click so you can easily see the full image bigger. I would also change the gallery thumbnail position to the bottom rather than the side.

Lastly (and only if you want to add CSS) you could add this to the Custom CSS on your website, it will prevent your images for being cropped on the product pages:

// product image contain - do not crop
.products.collection-content-wrapper .grid-item-image {
  object-fit: contain !important;
}

I completely agree with this. Other than that, it looks quite good! And I have to say, I love your paintings (especially "Terrace row" and "Winter sea").
