Making a full page image resize correctly

Hello! I have created a full-page portfolio page in Adobe XD and I was hoping to just place it into Squarespace as a full-page image. The image has been uploaded into Squarespace and on full screen at 1920, it looks amazing. As I resize the screen though, the image does not respond well at all. As the page shrinks, the image gets white space on the top and bottom (red). I have tried a bunch of different code combinations, but nothing will work.

My goal is to keep the dimensions of the image the same on any screen without Squarespace automatically resizing the whole page and adding unnecessary white space on the top and bottom (red) of the image. Any help would be very appreciated!

Can you share the site wide (or page) password?

It looks like you have the image alignment set to center rather than top, that would certainly help, also adjusting the mobile layout would probably improve it.

Using an image rather than a responsive design is generally going to have issues with sizing and legibility, but we should be able to improve this setup.

Have you changed the image alignment? Is the page set to fill? Is the image block at the very top of the page?

If you're using Fluid Engine, adding the image in a Classic section instead it might make things easier.

Alignment is set to the top and the image is all the way at the top. The issue with fill is that the height responsiveness is fine, but the width is not. As the page sizes down, the image gets cut off on the right and left sides.

Classic editor did not work correctly either.
