Product Quick View Item Description Excerpt Spacing Problem

When using quick view, the item description excerpt is incorrectly formatting into one squished line with no line breaks, though the full product page clearly has line breaks. Is there a way to fix this with CSS or if not, to remove the excerpt from quick view altogether? 

Would also love to change the "view full item" text in quick view to a custom font. Thanks in advance
