Slideshow: Reel - How to get to appear properly on Mobile on Home Page

I switched my gallery from a grid gallery to a Slideshow: Reel. Which looking at it on a mobile device it does not show the image properly (whether it is cropped or not). I would like the images to be full bleed.

Vertically the images are not using the focal point when I set when uploading the photos. if I turn the device to landscape they images show correctly. how do you get them to show correctly vertically.

I added the code below it seemed to solve the problem but not on the home/cover page.
