Design questions

hey there, i'm wondering if someone can tell me how i can expand the space for the navigation menu under my logo? I'd like to be able to place more items up there, and to have them start on one edge and go to the other. right now, if i put too many in i get two rows of text.

also, is there anyway of having the sections scroll up overtop of the first image? so that it sort of hides that as it rolls up?
