How to I add shapes to my section borders?

How do I add shapes other than straight lines to my borders? I think people do this with images, but I can never figure out how to properly size images in Squarespace, especially ones that span the width of the site. 

You can create these images, then we can use code to append it to border.

Here's a YouTube video that might be helpful. 

This uses the Squarekicker extension. I'll see if I can find the one that deals with code.
