creating a lightbox with images that are not in the gallery

Hi everyone, 

does anyone know how to create an image (IMAGE A) so as soon as you click on it, it opens a lightbox of images that are not in the gallery that image is part of? (i.e IMAGE A1 A2 A3...etc) . Every time I try to use the template setting it shows the sequence of images as IMAGE A IMAGE B IMAGE C rather than a sort of folder that can house images relating to IMAGE A only. 

Is there a way to do that?

You are actually describing what I call Dynamic lightbox galleries feature, by design, when an image open into lightbox view, the lightbox carousel will contains the image itself and other images that are part of the main gallery

Dynamic lightbox galleries will allow you to open seperate galleries from the images, meaning each lightbox gallery will has its ow set of images (or videos), you can insert the feature on Gallery sections (7.1), Gallery blocks, Custom grid made of multiple images or the new Squarespace 7.1 portfolio pages...all available thanks to Gallery lightboxify URLs, provided by paid plugin Lightbox Studio
