Animated color gradients

I found this tutorial about animated color gradients. I would like to add that to my website but because of my poor coding skills I'm not able to do it. Can you help me? I need step-by-step instructions. I guess there is some small thing I don't understand and this doesn't work at all.

What elements are you trying to apply these gradients to? Blocks? Page backgrounds?

The animation generator essentially creates everything you need. Simply paste the generated code into your Custom CSS and edit the ".CSS Selector" in the code to match the element you are targeting. You'll probably want to play around with the animation times in the code. (That's the 30s value in the code). 

You could probably find a good tutorial on finding the CSS selector for your desired element on a squarespace site with a quick google to start improving those skills!
