Turn off Maximum Order Quantity Limit

Hi forum folks,

Customers are able to change the order quantity at checkout, however the quantity is limited to 500, by default it seems. Can this be changed to allow for a higher quantity to be input at checkout?

Thank you.

No, this cannot be increased. The 500-item limit is a Squarespace Commerce limitation.

has this been changed yet? or is there a workaround? im renting out glasses and I often rent out more than 500 glasses per order. But now they have to make two orders, which is inconvenient and unprofessional...

thanks

This hasn’t increased. The workaround is typically to add a quantity to a description, so that the cart quantity is reduced. For example, instead of individual glasses, you’d offer 12 glasses. If someone requires 480, they can order 40. It’s not ideal, but this isn’t something that can be changed.
