Re-Create the Squarespace Career Page

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://www.squarespace.com/about/careers

We are small recruitment company that uses SquareSpace for our website. I was wondering if anyone has any insight as to how to basically reconstruct SquareSpace's own careers pages so we can use a similar style on ours? I have tried to utilise a shop/product page, blog page, images, etc. All of which work OK, but aren't exactly right. An option like their own careers page flows much better. Obviously it can be done on here as they have done it themselves!

Any ideas?

It can certainly be done! It's not a simple setup but I agree that it is a very effective design and flow. What are the key features that you want to have? There are a number of plugins that would help reproduce certain features, all of it together would take some work to put together and get working smoothly.

Thanks @Ziggy!

Really just focusing on their "Open Positions" section. They probably have an extra layer that we don't need - I don't need to click into the type of job then see all the opportunities, just a single page with all jobs on it would be enough for us.

I'd love to have a "Categories" area similar to where they have "Locations".

I like that the open positions are presented in a linear way, no images etc. Just job title and location, I may prefer to have salary range there as well, buy not required. There is a highlighted "hover" function which looks nice.

Then when you click on the specific job it opens up to a job description with a form at the bottom of the page.

I think that would be our ideal, appreciate it may not all be doable with what's on offer though!

These two plugins in conjunction would allow you to create a table with job posting and links, and filter them, same as the example.

https://www.squarewebsites.org/squarespace-plugins/custom-table-block
https://www.squarewebsites.org/squarespace-plugins/universal-filter

Can you use Universal Filter together with Table Block to make searchable tables?
Yes, you can use Table Block with Universal Filter and make searchable Tables. See example:

https://www.vhiwomensminimarathon.ie/causes-and-charities

You would then probably want to set up a portfolio page so the sub-pages can have the URL slug eg. /careers/job-1 . But then hide the portfolio list section, and replace it with the table.

This sounds like a fun project to work on, I hope I outlined it well enough!

The portfolio pages would contain the information, the links you would add to the table going to the portfolio sub-pages.
