Ajax loading on or off?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to create a dropdown menu and I have found a design I like...it uses markdown and css...however I am also supposed to turn off ajax loading in "Design" I have always thought this was meant to be on considering my site is image heavy. I understand why I prefer ajax loading on but because I am using a dropdown box (also trying to link specific phrases to further down the page)**help with that please it was suggested to me to have this setting off.

What do you think about this? I get why as; in case the page in not loaded completely the Question and answer will show up --not something I want--

On Brine-family templates, when Ajax Loading is enabled your header and footer are not reloaded when a user navigates around your site. It doesn't affect page content. (It works differently on blogs on Skye and Farro template families.)

If the code is being added using header or footer injection, the code won't reload either, which means that it will need to be written specifically with Ajax Loading in mind. If this isn't the case, it must be re-written or Ajax must be disabled. I wrote more about Ajax Loading in this guide: Why does Squarespace code only work on refresh?
