customize event page or work-around not using the event page

Hi!

I have trouble with the lay-out of the events in the events-page. The events-page itself is fine, but the look of the events themself is not how I want it. I would like to be able to design it like any other page (and can't understand why I can't).

So is there a way to be free to design it like an index page?

Or could I use the list on the events-page, but when you click on the image or event-title, you go to an other page that i design like I want to? In other words, I only use the list, but make separate landingpages that I link to the eventspage.

Hi!

I want to be able to design individual events without the restrictions of the standard eventpage look.

I want to use the event list page as the overview-page. When people click on the event they would go to the individual event which would be a indexpage.
