Custom Font for Portfolio/Project Title

I was able to use CSS to custom the font for header and h1 to h5 text, but for some reason can't seem to change the font for my portfolio header title (the text that appears on top of pictures that are linked to a different page). I was hoping someone could help me with the code for that

Add to Design > Custom CSS

h3.portfolio-title {
    font-size: 30px !important;
    color: red !important;
    font-family: monospace !important;
}

Hi. 

This code is not working for me. I have a project page with the title underneath. Not as a hover. I am unable to get a code to work for these titles for a custom font... Any ideas?
