HTML for email encryption in list description

I have a site where i'm using the list block for a staff directory. My client wants the email addresses for their staff encrypted, but I'm having a hard time enabling HTML in the description field of the lists. would appreciate any help! 

You can make email text italic, then we can use some code to "encrypt" it

thank you @tuanphan -- can you elaborate? do you mean by applying a css class to effect everything italic? I'm not aware of an encryption that works like that, only one by one html -- but either way i'm having a hard time finding a code injection that will hit the description fields of the list.

Just use CSS to hide the email and replace it with an example character ****

Make text italic when you editing text, or add email link to it, then we will give the code

still looking for an answer on this! just need to be able to either add code/script to the description field in a list, or use a code injection elsewhere that will allow me to scramble these emails. please help!
