tulikasud
I see. Unfortunately this method will only work if I enable the entire article to show up rather than just an excerpt. The Galapagos template is now very old (Nov 2013) and has fewer style tweaks than newer templates. With this template, blog pages display as a list of vertically-stacked posts. There isn't an option for an alternative layout. However you may want to try using a Summary Block instead. You can use Summary Blocks to display your blog content in a layout that isn't otherwise available, including Grid and Wall. To do this, create a new page, add a Summary Block and then connect it to your blog like this: About: Squarespace Circle Leader since 2017.
