Javascript for typewriter text disabled on mobile

I have implemented a "typewriter text" effect with javascript on my client's site. However, I only want this function enabled on desktop/tablet view only, not on smaller mobile screens. See the section I am referring to here:

I'm not familiar enough with javascript itself to implement a media query that would allow this, so any help on how to write this would be greatly appreciated!!
