Drop Down Variation menu help

Hello

Is there a way to add options to the drop down menus on my variations.  Here is an example:

If I am selling an Engagement ring design you can select the following:

  • Your Ringsize
  • The metal type
  • The metal carat

but I need the following functionality:

  • a Stone selection tool (this needs to be a "either/or functionality" meaning: if you select DIAMOND: You would be able to select the carat, colour & clarity of the stone. OR if you select another stone type, MOISSANITE for example; you must also be able to select the carat, colour & clarity of the stone.

So in other works, if you select a type of stone, only the variations available for that stone become visible.

Please give me advise on how to achieve this?

Kind Regards

Christel

When you show or hide options based on earlier choices, this is known as "conditional logic".

Squarespace doesn't this feature and there are unlikely to be pre-built code solutions to do this "out of the box" because any solution will be specific to the merchant's circumstances, the number of options, the structure of product variants and so on. If you need this on Squarespace it will need to be custom-coded by a developer.
