Show blog comments in summary blocks

Is there a way to customise summary blocks to display the text of comments on a blog in a summary block? Trying to create a memorial site where visitors can leave tributes, so I would like to display the latest tribute comments in a summary block on the home page.

There is possibly a way.  Put the summary blocks in a page in a  second blog. Here is an example,

Thanks Derrick, I've looked at your blog but I don't really see an example of what I want for my site. What I need is for the comments on one blog to be shown in summary blocks, and the summary blocks must be on the home page.

You can put summary blocks on any page that allows blocks which should include the home page  but adding comments to each item or in its own block outside of a blog post, I don't think that is possible. Summary block items pull content from  blog posts settings, including excerpts and images. Comments are not part of that content.
