WebKit sticky section not working on mobile

I am trying to create a sticky section in Squarespace 7.1 using the below code where one section sticks as you scroll down the page but is then covered up by the next section. All looks great on desktop, however, on all mobile devices it does not appear to function normally. The sticky section does not completely disappear as the next section scrolls over it and it will regularly show up as I continue to scroll down the page. Sometimes the next section will actually scroll under the sticky section. Any idea on how to avoid this issue on mobile is much appreciated.

I am having this exact same problem. The section AFTER the sticky section should appear on top when you scroll down. This looks fine on desktop, and if I use the mobile preview in SQS backend. But it gets goofy on an actual mobile device.

Sometimes when I scroll using my phone the next section will be BENEATH the sticky section. If I scroll back up slightly, it quickly reappears.

If anyone looks at this, please look at it on a mobile device. It will appear fine on desktop, even when you resize the screen.
