damobailey Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Site URL: https://www.damianbailey.com/ Hi Is it possible to have a carousel of images with accompanying text automatically scrolling on my homepage. Ideally i would want these as full bleed background images. Is this possible? From what I can see, it isn't, but I'm wondering if there's a workaround. thanks Damian
qosmic Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 It is possible, but the autoscroll requires a little code. I believe there are some snippets out there you can try. .techCRM | Email Marketing | eCommerce | Accounting Systems | Data Migration | Automation | App IntegrationsOur Mission - Contact
damobailey Posted September 7, 2022 Author Posted September 7, 2022 thanks @Rocketfire. Can you point me in the right direction to any such code?
qosmic Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Off the top of my head, unfortunately, no. You might try searching for "squarespace autoscroll carousel" or similar phrase. .techCRM | Email Marketing | eCommerce | Accounting Systems | Data Migration | Automation | App IntegrationsOur Mission - Contact

Ideally i would want these as full bleed background images. There are several ways to achieve this. Gallery Sections and Gallery Blocks offer auto advancing slideshows but may require some Custom CSS to make them full bleed (depending on your site's styles). I'd probably recommend using an Auto Layout Section as this offers the full bleed background but will require a line of two of custom code (JavaScript) to make it auto-advance. You'll find Auto Layout Sections in the section picker when adding a new section. They are marked with the "i" icon. Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017.
