Our Association's Members Need a "Members Only Page" At Which to View and Download Documents

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://www.americancoopworthregistry.org

We want to provide our members the ability to view and/or download information. This would be documents such as our annual financial report which would not be publicly available.

Everything I read in the Squarespace literature is focused on using member areas for various e-commerce, money-making purposes.

I have also been searching for a simple display of what Squarespace will charge. The attitude seems to be that I should ,make all the effort to create the area and then at the end of a free trial period the amount of a monthly subscription add-on fee will be advised.

Semi-retired woodturner/shepherd living in MidCoast Maine, USA. Website design has been a "hobby" over the last 10-15 years. I currently manage several websites all using WordPress.ORG and are hosted at GoDaddy. One of the websites belongs to the registry through which we register our Coopworth sheep. My interest in Squarespace is due to wanting to be able to pass website management chores on to other shepherds who will not have the depth of my experience. We are very hopeful that Squarespace will prove more user-friendly than WordPress.

Regarding pricing, this link will take you to the current Member Area pricing.

However, if you want to restrict membership to 'approved' members and want to protect files (like PDF documents) then Member Areas is unlikely to be suitable. See my guide to the current Member Area limitations for more details.
