I have a client who needs to upload about 300 DXF files

You'll need to host them on third-party (not Squarespace) hosting.

I suggest AWS (Amazon Web Services) S3 (Simple Storage Service) and then AWS CloudFront as a first stop.

AWS is not the easiest to use at times mostly because AWS is so massive and finding the right documentation can be hard to find and dense.
