Eliminating excessive padding in 7.1 Classic Carousel block

Hi, there. I am using the SQS Mods Horizontal Scroll plugin on my homepage (which is great!) and I am having a problem with the carousels because I am positive it's these section preventing the Scroll from working 50% of the time. I need to set these section at 100% for section height, but then the top/bottom padding is ridiculous, forcing me into a vertical scroll. There isn't an option to set the Section Height in the Edit Content or Edit Section tabs for the carousel sections; I tried eliminating the padding by targeting the #data.section but it didn't do anything at all.

Can someone help me identify what I'm doing incorrectly? I'd appreciate it. 

(I have already been in contact with SQS Mods, btw, and they've been very helpful, so this is something to figure out on my end.)
