Creating full heigh vertical divider in sections

Hello! I'm looking to create a full heigh vertical divider within a section. I've added the following coding:

Custom CSS:

  border-right: .5px solid #F8F5EC; 
  height: 400px;

}

I can't seem to get the line to stretch to the top of the section and when the screen is smaller, it sinks below the section into the next. 

Any help would be appreciated!
