Mail Chimp newsletter popup form using injected code on home page stops mobile navigation working on home page

I recently upgraded my site from 7.0 to 7.1.  We had a newsletter subscribe form (mail chimp) popup using an embedded script on the homepage that worked fine on 7.0 but it prevents the navigation bars working on the mobile view on 7.1.  I've tried putting it in the header using code injection but it still prevents the navigation bars in mobile view from working.  For now I've removed the code.  I use the pop up promotion under marketing for something else but would like to have 2 pop ups.

Any suggestions?
