Is there a way to make a bullet list "expandable" with a "show more" button or something similar?

I am looking for a easy way to make a text block (or else) to only show the first n (for example three) lines and make the rest expand on clicking a button. This forum actually has a similar feature when quoting:

I imagine something along these lines:

In the best case scenario, there would be a smooth transition after clicking the "Show more" button.

I am using Squarespaces v7.0 and the Brine template.
