Hi,

We just noticed that our main page for our client's website began blinking on mobile, and it also blinks when moving the mouse around on desktop. This may have appeared after adding a promotional popup, but even disabling that, the issue persists. Any ideas what this might be or how to fix the problem?

Thanks so much!

You are using a Tremont index page for this page. An Index page creates a slideshow of full-bleed images and has a fade effect when you switch between images by mousing over the title in the centre of the page.

However, instead of adding multiple images to this page (as Squarespace intended) you are using the same image twice. When a user mouses over the central area, Squarespace changes the image to the other identical image, and you are seeing the fade effect between them.

When I change the second image and hover over the central area, you will see what I mean:

See my post about Tremont to see how Squarespace intended this page type to be used.

I check that there is an event that adds a new class and set the style of transition for this class. In order to overwrite this blink style, you can try adding to Home > Design > Custom css

#collection-588a8923b3db2b265e893d25 img {
  transition: none;
}

Hope it makes sense.
