Editing orders isn't a thing??

Hi.  I'm very new to squarespace but actually learning some great stuff as I go. I had a team create my *new* website.  Other one was just old even though customers really liked it, the platform was being discontinued etc.,  

Anyway, the site is being edited now for what we're just calling 'snafu's' and I'm doing a lot of work on it and learning a lot but, orders... I have customers placing orders, changing their minds etc..  this is going to be a huge problem when a customer has placed an order, changed their minds, wants to add something etc.. and I, claiming to have the great new modern website, can't even edit an order??  Any feedback on this at all?  I can't just say.. yea, lets cancel your order and redo it..  They'll go elsewhere.  I can partially ship things but only thru my shipping program.  

It seems squarespace doesn't allow for editing and partial shipments etc.. this isn't good for someone like myself with retail business.. at this time I have no live inventory and even if I could fix that, I can't fix customers wanting to change things.
